A Professional Approach.

David and Philip are both Members of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists; Associates of The Chartered Institute of Building and Members of The Faculty of Building.

The Practice employs a combination of Technical Staff and fully qualified Architects and has training schemes in place for young Associate Members of CIAT. The drawing office is AutoCAD based with all technical staff being proficient with ongoing in-house training schemes. The office is well served and supported by Reception and Administration Staff ready at the end of the telephone to deal efficiently with your enquiries.

A Practice founded on design excellence and sound
construction knowledge.

In 1992 David Rackham was a Director in one of the UK's largest Architectural Practice having spent a successful working life in Private Practice in London and the Home Counties developing sound skills in most building types. Early in his career he developed an interest in School Building Projects becoming the responsible Director with an extensive Client base. He left to set up his own Practice being fortunate that most of his Client base stayed with him creating an ideal platform for the new Practice.

The association with Philip Rourke began when he was engaged by David as a Junior Trainee and he soon demonstrated that he was destined to succeed eventually joining the new Practice and now the driving force behind Practice growth, development and implementation of office procedures and computer systems.

David Rackham continues to guide the Practice and is involved in Good Practice, Constructing Excellence and is currently Chairman of BRACE a multidisciplinary supply chain Consortium set up to challenge the large national groups with the intention of ensuring that "local" organisations can become involved in major projects of national importance, Thames Gateway and Stansted being major opportunities. Philip is heavily involved in Construction Industry Activity Days, Faculty of Building and the Construction Industry Council Eastern Region.
